HEEP

The Hertfordshire and Essex Energy Partnership-HEEP has been established to provide a simple, one-stop shop for anyone interested in improving the energy efficiency of their home.

Fifteen local authorities are working together to bring their residents Government funding in order to provide discounted energy efficiency measures to help reduce their fuel bills.

The HEEP Scheme aims to cut out complications when seeking grants to help fund energy efficiency measures. It's easy to apply.

FREEPHONE 0800 980 6026 or visit the website www.heepgrant.org

HEEP will do the legwork for you by checking to see if you are eligible for a grant from a variety of different funding bodies and initiatives such as Warm Front and the Low Carbon Buildings.

The partnership also has its own extra government funding allowing it to offer householders extra grants and loans over and above:-
  • Loft Insulation at £99
  • Cavity Wall Insulation at £99
  • Heating and Low Carbon Technology measures (subject to technical survey).
Grants are available

Grants and interest-free loans (subject to technical survey and eligibility criteria) are available for households to help them install advanced measures such as heating, solid wall insulation and low carbon technologies e.g. solar hot water.

Those over 70 or in receipt of benefits can also benefit from free insulation measures that help improve the energy rating of their home.

Loft insulation will be free for benefits recipients where the existing depth is less than 100mm and free for over-70s where the existing depth is less than 60mm.
