Thermal Imaging - we have 11 volunteers who are trained to operate the FREE thermal imaging service, for all properties, domestic or commercial, in Braughing, Puckeridge and Standon starting this winter.
We will take a thermal image of your home or business, give you a print showing exactly where heat is escaping and provide information on how to remedy the situation. This is a three year project funded by the Cut Your Carbon campaign, and will help to reduce the carbon footprint of our three villages. To register ring 3VEG on 07518 478748
Car Share Scheme - 3VEG members and a representative of Standon Parish Council attended a seminar on a pilot car share scheme using www.hertsliftshare.org This is an excellent scheme with over 300,000 members nationwide. If it goes ahead we would get support from the County Council.
Energy Monitors - see where your electricity is going and save some money. 3VEG has purchased two energy monitors, one for domestic use and one 3 phase model for use in public buildings or businesses. The monitors are quick, safe and easy to use and show you how much electricity you are using at any given moment, how much it is costing you in pence per hour and how much CO2 your household is emitting.
If you would like to borrow a monitor for up to 2 weeks ring us on 07518 478478. As we are not charging for this service, we are asking you to support our activities with a donaton towards the costs.
